Navigation and Menus


The header is always present at the top of the screen. Upon entry, a global navigation is present on the top menu bar, on the far left. Additional four action icons, on the far right, provide further assistance to users. 
Global Navigation:
The Menu navigation provides access to the EM consoles.   Action Icons: From left to right they are:

  • Support, Approvals, Notifications, Settings

On selecting the first icon (Support), Service Desk and Support Documentation options show up.

  • Service DeskSelect "Service Desk" to open a new tab directing to the HelpDesk link. 


  • Support Documentation

           Select "Support Documentation" to open a new tab with the User guide  access. 

  • Approvals

           Grant approval to "Pending" site publications. 

  • Notifications 

          Review Scheduled publications
This icon will be badged with the number of currently assigned incomplete notifications.

  • Settings

Once selecting the fourth icon (Settings), Profile and Logout options show up. 

  • Profile

          Access your User Profile Details, change the profile avatar or update an existing password. 

  • Logout 

           Exit the application.
TO ACCESS:

  • access the launchpad url
    • from launchpad
      • launch the application
    • general handling is present on all console views

Whenever a resource is selected (e.g. a page or an asset), various actions are indicated by icons with explanatory text in the toolbar. These actions are dependent on:

  • The current console.
  • The current context.

The action available in the toolbar change to reflect the actions that can be taken on the specific items selected.
For example, after selecting an asset in the Media Manager console:


The individual icons available are documented in relation to the appropriate console/feature/scenario.

Viewing, navigating, and selecting are each conceptually the same across all consoles, but have small variations in handling, dependent on the console you are using.
